8GB Sansa Clips better than iPod Shuffle

Posted by Ray.Ibanez On November - 18 - 2008

sansa clip better than ipod

For those who need a small music playing the device while at the gym or on the go many buy the Apple iPod Shuffle, but why? There is no screen and the storage capacity is pretty small. Many reviewers say the alternative to the iPod Shuffle, the Sansa Clip, is the way to go. It is similar to the iPod Shuffle in that it’s small in size and can clip onto your belt or clothing. It has one main advantage however, a screen! It also has more storage capacity and a built-in FM tuner. It is $30 more than an iPod Shuffle but the increased storage capacity alone makes the $99 Sansa Clip a better deal.

Posted by Geoffrey.Cruz On November - 12 - 2008

Sansa do get a lot of attention from consumers. Some say that the SanDisk Sansa players are irrelevant in the MP3 market, but it does not seem the case. According to reports, a man in a Boston Red Sox cap in Concord, New Hampshire stole a $100 Sansa MP3 player and punched the security in the process. More details about the robbery have yet to be announced, but it happened on November 7 at 2:05pm. They must do nothing around Concord, New Hampshire if a petty theft makes the news. But oh well, its Sansa News.

SanDisk announces faster SSDs

Posted by Geoffrey.Cruz On November - 7 - 2008

SanDisk has announced that they alone hold the secret to Solid State Drives that work 100 times faster than before. According to SanDisk, their new Flash File System, properly dubbed FFS, uses a page-based algorithm that would increase the speed by no longer using fixed coupling between the physical and logical location of the data. So basically, when data is being written, the SSD will find a location where it would be more efficient and convenient. Thus making the SSD much faster to operate. What is also special about the new FFS, it is programmed to learn the user’s patterns and it will eventually learn where to store frequently used data.

Samsung drops their bid for SanDisk

Posted by Ray.Ibanez On October - 24 - 2008

samsung drops big for sandisk

Samsung fought for so long to get into SanDisk’s pants, but after seeing what’s finally in there they decided to pass. According to Samsung they dropped their $5.85 billion bid for SanDisk because of SanDisk’s less than stellar financial results. Another major factor in the dropped bid is Samsungs new agreement with Toshiba. With the gloomy economic future maybe SanDisk should have taken that bid after all.
