SanDisk plans on new MP3 player with no memory

Posted by Ray.Ibanez On July - 8 - 2008

SanDisk announced in London that they’re planning to release a new MP3 player with no memory at all but will include Ogg and Flac support. Instead of an internal memory system like other MP3 players the new SanDisk player will feature removable memory which is very convenient seeing how SanDisk is the only music player maker that sells removable data such as memory cards as well. SanDisk is also taking advantage of the fact that auto-makers like Audi and BMW have begun to offer the feature of memory card slots in their audio systems as all as the popular car stereo maker Blaupunkt.
SanDisk also said that all its new MP3 players will also include FM radios and that a firmware upgrade for the Sansa Clip will be available soon as well.

I think this is a great move my SanDisk, why only have a few storage options for your MP3 player when you can just use an external card and upload as much data as you want.
